Excellence Programs

Twin County Manufacturing Excellence is open to high school seniors in Carroll County, Grayson County, and City of Galax. The program provides a fast-track for careers in manufacturing while showing students the many opportunities available to them in their own communities. Participants who complete the program will receive several certifications, training, and equipment, as well as first-hand exposure to numerous manufacturers in the region. Twin County Manufacturing Excellence is a collaborative effort between the public school systems, Twin County Chamber of Commerce, Wytheville Community College, and Mount Rogers Regional Partnership, with support from participating businesses.

Labor market projections show a nationwide shortage of healthcare workers exceeding 100,000 by the year 2028. Twin County Healthcare Excellence aims to address gaps in the healthcare career pipeline by providing students with an early opportunity to determine which aspects of the healthcare field appeal to them. The program is open to high school sophomores in Carroll County, Grayson County, and City of Galax, paving the way for advanced opportunities in the latter grades of high school while introducing students to numerous different types of healthcare professions available to them in their own communities. Twin County Healthcare Excellence is a collaborative effort between Mount Rogers Regional Partnership and the public school systems with support from Wytheville Community College, Twin County Chamber of Commerce, and participating businesses.
